INTRODUCTION
(11 - 14 years of age)

The Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme provides a natural progression for children from primary education to develop their knowledge and skills with a special focus in Mathematics, English and Science. It offers a curriculum framework for educational success for learners, typically 11-14 years old, with an assessment testing structure similar to Cambridge Primary, GL Progression Tests and Cambridge Checkpoint tests.

  • Created with an international audience in mind - suitable for students of all cultural and linguistic background.

Checkpoint is not a formal qualification with a certificate, however, a Statement of Achievement is presented upon completion of the examination.

A STUDENT CENTRIC APPROACH

  • Students with particular English language needs will receive specialist support through MAHSA English Support Hub (MESH).

  • Students in this stage and onwards have specialist teachers for each of their subjects.

  • Students are taught in mixed-ability groupings in all subjects.
