Yesterday, our Year 7 to Year 10 prefects from MAHSA International School, along with MISKL staff, had the honor of bringing smiles to the lives of 30 wonderful children, aged 1 to 17, at Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kesayangan Maha (PKKM). This heartfelt Christmas CSR program was a celebration of compassion, care, and the true spirit of the season.

With a team of nine dedicated students, we delivered essential groceries, stationery, and festive necessities, ensuring that this holiday season is a little brighter for the children at PKKM. More than just gifts, it was a day filled with warmth, laughter, and connection.

A Little Christmas Treet

“A Little Christmas Tree” 🎄

Our Year 1 and Year 2 students recently took us on a magical journey with their delightful performance of A Little Christmas Tree. The story followed a tiny, overlooked Christmas tree in the forest, longing to be chosen and loved. Through its journey, the little tree discovered the true meaning of Christmas: kindness, togetherness, and spreading joy. With the help of woodland friends and a bit of Christmas magic, the tree found its place, shining bright and bringing happiness to everyone around it.

The play was filled with memorable songs, heartfelt moments, and a message that warmed everyone’s hearts. A huge congratulations to our young stars and everyone who contributed to this festive celebration!

MISKL Graduation Ceremony (2022-2023 batch of IGCSE students and A’ Level Titans)

A milestone accomplishment in every student’s life is graduating, a day that should be celebrated to mark the success of the graduate. We, the MISKL, saluted our 2022-2023 batch of IGCSE students and A’ Level Titans with a grand graduation ceremony at our MISKL auditorium on 10th July, 2023. This event was followed by another prestigious 2023-2024 Prefectorial Investiture Ceremony under the MISKL Leadership team. With the presence of our principal and parents, family members and friends, the graduation ceremony became a grand success, leaving our graduates to cherish the last day of their school life with photoshoot, palatable food and hearty wishes from their juniors. We wish our graduates all the very best for their bright future.

Hari Raya Celebration Day at MISKL

Our Hari Raya Celebration Day at MISKL included a variety of performances ranging from traditional dances such as “Joget Aidilfitri” & “Dikie Barat” to contemporary pop song dances, activities consisting of nostalgic childhood games, and not to forget the array of festive pastries and snacks paired with a plethora of contributions for the potluck!

Cultural Exchange with Edu Global School, Indonesia

Exciting news! We had the pleasure of hosting 33 talented students and 6 amazing teachers from Edu Global School, Indonesia, on 16/3. They had a great time touring our campus and interacting with our students in Combined Science, Design & Technology, English, and Zumba classes. We were thrilled to see 33 Indo students perform their cultural dance and hear a speech from one of their own. Our principal also presented our curriculum to our esteemed guests. It was a great day filled with learning, cultural exchange, and fun!

Year 3 to Year 6 MISKL Students Explore Aquaria KLCC

Hey everyone, our MISKL students from Year 3 to Year 6 had a fantastic time exploring Aquaria KLCC on 14/3! They were amazed by the diverse marine life and interactive exhibits, and learned so much about our oceans and conservation efforts. Our young marine enthusiasts had a great day out, and we are proud of them for being curious learners and responsible global citizens.

Chinese New Year Celebration Day at MISKL

Hello Everyone,
We hope you are all doing well. Yesterday we celebrated Chinese New Year with a lion dance.
We are really looking forward to a fantastic, fulfilling and successful year and would like to wish everyone, good health, prosperity and happiness.

Cross-Country event

Thursday 8th December 2022, Mr. Henry organised a morning of keep-fit activities for our school community. Our children, our teachers and our parents enjoyed a morning of exercise and fun as we all got involved with our Cross-Country event. Everyone had fun during the warm up, before the children, their teachers and parents participated in the running events.

All abilities were represented and all were encouraged to compete and do their best. Everyone cheered the children on. For some the event was about winning house points, seeing how fast they were and whether they could finish first, while for others the event was all about the experience, taking part and finishing the race.

It was great to see all the children enthusiastically join in. Many of our parents and class teachers ran alongside them providing encouragement, extra motivation and the support needed for the children to finish the races. And it was great to see the Principal, Mr. Kaye get involved and run with our Year 11, 12 and Year 13 students.

At a time of year when many of us overindulge, it is important that our children assimilate the importance and the joy of exercise. It was a fantastic way to end the term. Everyone involved had a great time and we all got a little fitter and healthier in the process.

Community Winter Festival 2022

On Wednesday 7th December, MAHSA International School held our Community Winter Festival 2022. This wonderful indoor/outdoor event was organised and presented by the primary children who designed and organised stalls and games not only for everyone’s entertainment and joy but to raise money for their chosen charity Little Penguins.

We enjoyed songs, dancing and performances by our children, our young people from secondary and even some of our talented teachers.

As part of this community celebration, some of our parents volunteered for our Cake Decorating Competition which was great fun and produced some of the most spectacular cakes ever seen!

The winners of our Antarctica Day Poster Competition were announced and super prizes awarded to very worthy entries.

We are very proud of our community spirit here at MAHSA and thank everyone involved for their support.

IGCSE 2022 Top Achievers

Our Year 11 students have received their IGCSE results and we would like to congratulate them on their remarkable achievements and results. We are proud of every single one of you for your hard work and success.

Congratulations, Cheah Khan Ling (Year 7)

Congratulations to our student from Year 7, Cheah Khan Ling, for this commendable achievement throughout these two years.

He was awarded the ABRSM Level 1 Award in Graded Examination in Music Theory (Grade 1) and passed with distinction by The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.

Recently, he also participated in the Malaysia Book of Records - Most Pianists In a Performance Relay on 23rd April 2022, organized by Graceful Piano Marathon.

Apart from Music, he is also active in public speaking and participated in the Mahathir Academy of Public Speaking - Intermediate Online Showcase on the 3rd of April 2022.

Khan Ling should be an inspiration to other students for always being active to improve and explore themselves whether in academic or soft skills and hobbies.

Good Job Khan Ling! We are certain you'll achieve everything you work towards.

Annie

Annie the Musical is one of the world's most loved musicals. it is a timeless story with classic characters and unforgettable songs.

The students of Key Stage 2 did a brilliant job telling the story of how Annie, an orphan girl met Mr. Warbucks while living in an orphanage in New York, and eventually how she got adopted by him. They told the story by acting, dancing, and singing. They had been practicing for this play over a week with the careful training, guidance and effort of the teachers.

The students have definitely showed us an incredible production and we were very impressed with the hard work. The props and backstage team made the whole show impressive with flawless transitions throughout the show.

Summer Spectacular

“Summer Spectacular” is a combination of plays from the Nursery, reception, Year 1 and 2. The nursery class showed us what they have been learning over the entire summer term and they did an adorable performance on a song from “The Lion King” called “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”

As for the reception class, they did performed “Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs” which was fantastic. They spoke their lines with so much ability, acted wonderfully, and made all of the audience smiles from ear to ear with their playful but confident performance! They also sang the “Pow Pow” song which they learned about while finding out about the USA during our International Week.

Year 1 students did a skit about “The Rainbow Fish” based on a very popular children's story by Marcus Pfister. All of the students conveyed the story so well, from the narrators moving like waves, to the octopus that helps the Rainbow Fish. In addition, they danced the Can-Can with great enthusiasm.

Last but not least, the Year 2 showed us what they learned over the summer term entitled “Pieces of the Whole” after which, they caused our audience to dance along in their seats to the songs “Run Away Baby” and “Para Para Sakura” while they danced their hearts out on the stage and all around the Auditorium.

CIMB Rising Star National Junior Circuit 2022(Squash)

We would like to congratulate Yatissh Sai Kanagaraj from Year 3, who managed to get 53rd place at the CIMB Rising Star National Junior Circuit 2022 (SQUASH). The event took place at National Squash Centre, Bukit Jalil from the 18th until the 22nd of May 2022.

We are so proud of your achievement, Yatissh! Best of luck on the next tournament! Yatissh gave us the inspiration to start on your hobby or join any sports, at any stage or age of our life.

Silly Hat Day

We would like to share some pictures from our Silly Hat Day! Nursery students came up with different types of hats and showcased their creative hats to their classmates, teachers, and parents. The teachers helped the young ones to create different types of hats and they enjoyed the whole process of creating the hats and spent the whole day with their friends and family.

Our teachers work hard to create a fun and safe learning environment. Silly Hat Day is just one example of how they use their creativity to bring the joy of kindergarten learning to our little ones.

Raya Celebration 2022

Throughout the whole month, we had several days of Eid Celebration in our school. The last Friday before the Raya Holiday, primary students celebrate Hari Raya at the school. The children don their favorite and the best Raya clothes/attire they have. Their teachers prepare several activities throughout the whole day. As always in MISKL, the teachers made sure that they learn something in their activities and that day, they learned about Malaysian and Muslim culture. They talked about Malaysian foods, played traditional games, watched Raya movie, colored Baju Kurung and Baju Melayu, baked Kuih Raya and many other exciting activities. And of course, we had to take some pictures for the memories. They had a lot of fun exploring and learning about Malaysian culture while participating in the activities with their friends.

Then, after Eid Holiday, the Early Years classes celebrate by having an Eid feast. Their teachers and the students brought homemade foods to share. They enjoyed the food while watching Upin Ipin cartoon. They went back happy with a full tummy and Raya angpao in one hand.

Then recently, the teachers and staff of MISKL attended MAHSA Raya Open House at the Ballroom. Sharing food and spending time together has never been better, especially after the pandemic.

We are so glad that we get to spend this beautiful month of Eid with friends and family!

A Day With Roman Weidenfeller (Bvb)

On the 26th of April 2022, the famous Goalkeeper from Germany Football Club, Mr. Roman Weidenfeller came to Malaysia for an Asia tour with his team, Dr. Suresh, Mr. Hans, and Ms. Julia Farr.

The students of MISKL might recognize Ms. Julia Farr as she is one of the representatives from BVB and has been to our school a few times.

It was one full day of catching up with everyone in MAHSA and playing football with the students of MAHSA International School and local football clubs. They also came to MAHSA University to meet Prof Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Hj. Mohamed Haniffa, Dato' Dr. Shahril Haniffa and other directors of MAHSA. Before heading back to their hotel, they had dinner after a long day at the field.

Thank you so much to BVB Football Club! Our students definitely had fun with your team! Hope we will have the chance to meet more inspiring people from the club, in the future.

Global Learning Festival 2021

From the 5th until the7th of October 2021, MAHSA International School participated in the Global Learning Festival 2021. It is an event held annually by Melton City Council and Wyndham City Council, based in Melbourne, Australia. The events and programs took place fully online where schools all around the world joined.

For the year 2021, MISKL was ranked in the 21st place overall and globally out of 100 schools. We obtained 2nd for Mathematics in Malaysia out of 14 schools. The students of MISKL received 6 Emerald, 1 Gold, 1 Bronze, and 3 credits.

We would like to thank our students for their contributions to this event and we are very proud of our students for obtaining the awards and completing the challenge.

Early Years Water Play Day!

In MAHSA International School, the students learn through several ways, mediums, and tools. The teachers from the Early Years classes conducted Water Play Day for the children. For this event, they learned about simple Mathematics, Science, Geography, and many more with water involved. It was an interesting and fun event for the children, learning through fun activities.

They ended the day by playing with water. Both the students and the teacher enjoyed playing with the water sprinkler. It was a very exciting sight to see. Even the Principal and other staffs were wet while supervising the children. (Hm, was it supervising or playing together with them? Hahaha)

Overall, the kid seems to have fun throughout the whole activity. The event ended at around 11 AM, they clean themselves up afterward, had lunch, and went back home. There will be more activities like this for the children and we’re sure it will be as fun as this event!

MAHSA International Open Day 2022

On the 26th of March, we conducted the first Open Day of the year, to invite new parents and families to our school so that we could show them around. The principal, Head of Primary and Secondary together with a few teachers and school staff had the chance to have a good chat with the families who joined our Open Day. They spent over 1 to 2 hours in the school, discussing curriculum and syllabus, the fees, the facilities provided, and many more.

We’d like to thank the families who came, the student council, and the teachers who joined and helped to bring the parents around the school. We look forward to more interactive activities with families like this and to seeing new faces in the school!

MOE SCHOOL VISIT Visit

Recently, we had an impromptu visit from the Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Selangor (JPNs) to monitor our SOP compliance and safety procedures. We MAHSA International School is working very hard to ensure the school is as safe as possible. We are glad to receive validation for our safety protocols from the government officials.

PHYSICAL CLASS AFTER MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER

MAHSA International School is delighted to welcome all our Early Years students back to class today. Students showed great teamwork and discipline in following the new normal. Learning is more than just reading, memorizing, and answering questions. It’s about growth and improvements step by step.

MAHSA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL BACK TO SCHOOL

After months of virtual learning via technology, we are extremely excited to welcome all our students back to school. Lovely to see everyone at MAHSA International School. Be rest assured we are well prepared for the student’s return and students are happy to learn in class again.

EASTER EGG GUESSING GAME

In conjunction with Easter week, MAHSA International School organized a simple Easter Egg Guessing Game for the Early Years and Primary Years to participate. This game will enhance their intuitive thinking that will help in math performance in children. The students enthusiastically looking at the jar to count and guess the number of eggs and the right answer will receive a gift.

SPONSOR-A-PET PROGRAMME

MAHSA International School in collaboration with PAWS has organized a "Sponsor-a-Pet" Programme to wrap up our month of Empathy. Our students have created this donation box from scratch using recycled materials. This donation box will be placed near the Admission office for the next 3 months and the funds collected will be used to feed and shelter the neglected animals during this Covid-19 pandemic.

SILLY HATS DAY

MAHSA International School celebrated its first Silly Hat Day. The activity allowed the students to work on their bilateral and fine motor skills. Our students enjoyed expressing their creativity with their classmates and teachers. Everyone felt happy wearing their finished work of art. Happy Silly Hat Day to all our Early Year Years students.

WORLD BOOK & COPYRIGHT DAY

In conjunction with World Book & Copyright Day as well as Spanish & English Language Day, UKM has translated a set of books from Spanish to Bahasa Malaysia in collaboration with the Embassy of Cuba. The books are now available at the MAHSA International School library for everyone to read.

INTERNATIONAL ECO-SCHOOLS CONFERENCE 2018

MAHSA International school is pleased to announce that our Year 9 students have been selected to join the 2018 International Eco-Schools Conference.

Eco-Schools is an international programme of sustainable and environmental development for schools. It is currently being implemented in over 50 countries around the world, involving more than 40,000 schools.

Eco-Schools conference will provide our students and teachers the training, skills, and knowledge to work towards continuous improvement in environmental action within our campus and community.

FIELD TRIP

On 26th June, the secondary students of MAHSA international school went to the Mah Meri cultural village. They were all pumped up and ready to go by 9:00 a.m. When the students arrived at the camp beautiful Mah Meri villagers and the tour guide greeted them. The villagers gave all the students traditional headdresses, which shouldn’t be taken out during the day at the village.

Then the students were shown a traditional mask man dance. The tour guide was a kind man who explained that the people inhabiting the land are actually sea people and the islands name is called Carey Island.

All the students were shown traditional wooden carvings. When the students entered the main part of the village, their feet were sprinkled with water. This is the traditional way of welcoming guests. They were shown how to make leaf crafts. This craft were done when you wanted to get married. Students were shown a small museum in the village and a video about the village. The students also got the chance to learn the language of the Mah Meri people called onomatopoei.

TEACHER’ DAY

On 8th June, the Teacher’s Day was for the first time celebrated at Mahsa International School. The event was held at the Multipurpose Hall and started of with games where all Teachers were split in to four groups. The games were organised by Ms. Banu, Ms. Sharunia and Hosted by Ms. Geetha. The Teachers all participated in games such as Hula Hoop game, Balloon Race, and Building with Spaghetti while all the students from Reception up to Year 9 were all cheering and clapping their hands for all the Teachers.

The games were followed by gift giving as a token of appreciation to all the Teachers. Assoc. Prof, Hj. Rafeeudeen Mohd CEO of Mahsa International School, Mr. Peter Davies the Principal and Ms. Kang Wei Kee the Deputy Principal awarded the flowers and gifts to all the Teachers. Everyone was so happy and enjoyed the event.

CHARITY EVENT SUMMARY

On 28th May 2018, four students from year 7 organized an event to acknowledge and show their appreciation towards the people who supported them through their last project. Kayal, Natalie, Aishwarya and Alishya the students who organized this event, worked very hard to collect donations from students and employees at MAHSA International School for their charity drive to support Community Policing Malaysia. These students successfully handed over their donations to the event’s special guest Mr.Kuan the founder of Community Policing Malaysia.  

MOTHER’S DAY EVENT

On 18th May 2018, the school had a special dedication to all MISKL mothers. All parents were cordially invited to join the occasion. The Masters of Ceremony, Parvin and Mariam from Year 5, welcomed the mothers in the auditorium.

Then, there was a tribute to mothers, playing a song and a video where students and teachers wished mothers the best. After that, the students of MISKL had a few performances for their mothers including poems, plays and speeches. Then, the students were allowed to take photos with their mothers at the photo booth on stage. They also gave their mothers flowers, provided by the school.

MISKL OPENING CEREMONY

On 3rd April 2018, MAHSA International School was officially opened. By the Honorable Minister of Education, Y.B. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mahdzir Bin Khalid. The MCs, Kit and Natalie, welcomed him into the Auditorium.

Then, a couple performances by the students followed. There were speeches by the Principal and the Managing Director, as well as from the Honorable Minister. To mark the official opening, the Honorable Minister signed an iPad with a stylus and this was relayed to the big screen. The Honorable Minister was presented with a moments by the Chairman of Board of Governors, YBhg Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Hj. Mohamed Haniffa Bin Hj. Abdullah.

CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION

On 27th February 2018, MAHSA International School had their first Chinese New Year celebration. It was a festive day and everybody was dressed up. There were a lot of activities that the students could do on that day. The activities were calligraphy writing, cherry blossoms, picking peanuts and Chinese New Year card making.

And can’t miss the amazing lion dance. It was breathtaking and everybody loved it. To add the Year 7s did a wonderful job on taking pictures.

FOOD FESTIVAL

On the 11th of February, MAHSA International School had an Open Day inviting the community in Saujana Putra and its vicinity to come and taste delicious food that was organized by parents, teachers and most importantly the students at MISKL along with some students from MAHSA University.

Everyone put a lot of effort to make the food and decorate the tents. Many people came to the food festival and enjoyed themselves. MISKL students from year 7, 8 and 9 arranged stalls together and collected a lot of coupons. There were a lot of other activities for younger kids. There were two huge bouncy castles for them to play with so they won’t become bored. Overall, everyone enjoyed the event. All the food was sold out. Everyone was happy with the amount of coupons that they had sold. The event was successful.
